Since we started this journey, many persons have e-mailed us from Africa.
We are communicating with individuals in Accra, Ghana, and Abidjan, Cote d’ivoire, and other places in Africa. We know of missionaries and persons who are presently going into prisons with hope and serving the poor and indigenous populations. They are gathering together persons who are University graduates and who are ready to participate in this program. We also have capable Secondary school graduates and other persons who are trying to develop a business or to serve their communities in the ways we describe with or without finances. However, when on is in utter poverty there is only so much they can do. In most cases, they are attached to or involved with a local Mosque or Church. They have in this a network of persons who know persons throughout their regions who they could use to network a system and itinerary of places at which to make a presentation.
We do not know from where some of them get our e-mail address. We have three different distinct e-mail addresses and never have connected the three in any public forum. So we know persons are responding to each of them from different sources. There are many unemployed persons who have graduated University and many more who have passed exams to go to University but do not have the funds to pay their way. As a result of this and thinking about our initiative to employ men in Africa to help there community by doing some good. We have started to apply to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. We will seek other sources to get money to pay up to 1000 teams (or more if the funds can be made available) of two persons to teach aids awareness and abstinence as the safest prevention of the spread of AIDS in Africa. If any of these sources provide money then good. We have what is and will be a grass roots effort amongst common folk working to improve their world.
Time is of the essence. We have persons ready to start tomorrow and can have the program up and running in 90 days and fully functioning in 120 days of the funding possibly sooner.
AIDS IS A DEATH SENTENCE with no reprieve PROGRAM: Each person would get a small stipend while serving. The bulk of the monies would be saved up for their use after three years of service spreading AIDS awareness and prevention information. Monies they can use to either pay for University attendance and to live on while they attend University in their native country, or to start a small business using their skills, which they have but for which the economy provides no jobs in their fields. The persons we would hire to do this work would be a thousand men and a thousand women. They would go out in teams of two from village to village and town to town and part of city to part of city group by group teaching two groups a day of at least 40 persons or more about AIDS. What is it? How it spreads. The fact that the only sure way not to get aids - is for their culture and they as individuals to adopt and follow the practices of abstinence until marriage and then a monogamous lifestyle. The safest way to prevent the spread of AIDS And the deaths of millions of themselves is for the people of that culture to practice monogamy. They would also teach the safe use of and distribute condoms to Commercial Sex Workers. They would also distribute condoms to the general population with specific instructions in their various languages about how to safely use them. In addition, they would make it boldly clear that use of a condom is not fool proof and can end up in their getting AIDS anyway. If they do not want to get AIDS and spread it amongst their population, which is in fact a death sentence with a terrible miserable sickness leading to the death for each person who gets it then they had best practice abstinence and monogamy. Which statement and fact is true. These teachers would also work specifically with Commercial Sex Workers to persuade them to insist on and require all their customers on every occasion to use condoms,. They would distribute condoms and make it clear that condom use is not fool proof. They and this program would set up regular supplies of condoms to each community. We would strive to make them easily available to those who might need them along with a steady diet of warnings about the lack of 100% protection in their use. That the only sure way not to get or spread AIDS is to have one and only one sex partner for life.
We would also work with commercial Sex workers to try to help them change their profession although this could be a losing struggle. The more we get out of it the more younger and less experienced persons might become prey to this profession and lifestyle. The use of High School and College age persons to spread this message seems to be the wisest and most successful way to get this message to the age group that seems to be the most likely to suffer form the spread of AIDS. We also are going to need to develop a way to safely and morally teach aids prevention and awareness to the young teens to try to stop the kinds of activities that can spread AIDS And we will need very quickly to develop a culturally acceptable way to do this. Most likely this will be found in educating parents. We must face the need for all of our sakes to make sure each child is protected. They must know about the dangers of AIDS And the necessity to abstain from sexual contact with other persons before they start this sort of behavior. The education must be such as not to initiate such behavior in those taught about it. They need someone to teach them of the dangers of all sexually transmitted diseases. We must try to move these cultures towards the models of abstinence and one sex partner for life practices. It is the only acceptable and desirable idea to win this war against AIDS And STD’s. It must become the only form of sexual identity that is acceptable in those societies. It is very possible to do this without supporting the stigmas and problems that came by this thought process in Elizabethan society. We must help the cultures to believe and teach the idea that sex with anyone else besides your permanent mate as repulsive or disgusting to each individual.
Because of the cultural significance, persons of strong religious backgrounds might well be employed from both the Christian community and the Muslim community to spread this message. The structures of those societies can augment this program’s instruction with other information and supports. Those representing various smaller indigenous religions and culture especially where the moral ideals of those religions support and encourage monogamy and abstinence we will also employ. To the religious a very strong religious based message shall be presented. To those not responding to a religious based message a very practical science based message will be employed. It is true from time to time that the most conservative religious persons have an official position of these matters, which is one way - while they individually practice a less strict behavior.
The success of this mission and program will depend on effectively getting the idea of the dangers and risk of sex in today’s world across to the audience and the necessity then for one to protect them against contracting AIDS And other STD’s. Therefore, we shall make sure that even in the most conservative based and religious based messages the understanding is clear. One must abstain but if one is not going to abstain then they must take responsibility for their actins. They must make sure they know how to use a condom and that they use one. This is better than for them to think that they might be spared for some mystical reason the horrors of AIDS if they do not use a condom. They must clearly understand that sex before marriage or before a permanent commitment to one sexual partner for life is a very risky behavior. In today’s world and it can lead to a death sentence, which can not be reprieved. It also can have them spreading AIDS and STD’s and a death sentence to others especially to those with whom they have had sexual contact. The only thing to do is abstain and if they can not or will not do that they must use condoms and then understand they can still get and spread Aids and many other STD’s.
In addition, to the non-religious a very strong message based on the moral necessity from the sake of the needs of their society for individuals to change old fashioned, traditional behaviors in order to prevent much sickness and death and unnecessary illness and suffering from ravaging themselves and their neighbors.
The traveling teachers would be paid about 3,000 dollars each per year of service. They would get 20 dollars a week during the three-year service period and the rest of the money (with simple interest of a basic going interest rate for the time it is held) after they complete three years of service. The money would be placed in savings, which will be carefully guarded and managed on their behalf, and they would get the money only after completing their full service. Arrangements will be available for the money to be disbursed to them over a period to meet their tuitions and their living needs while attending University. On the other hand, to be paid in a lump sum or according to a pre defined payment plan if they are intending to start a small business.
Supervisors would deal with government officials and local leaders to help set up the meetings in advance. They would also follow up many training sessions by polling or testing audiences and markets where this teaching is going on to see if the method of teaching and sharing they use is effective. They would also determine if there is a general beneficial change in behavior because of the campaign. Changes would be made as needed to make the teaching sessions more effective. The persons doing this would be recent University Graduates and professionals experienced or capable of doing this sort of work well. It may include leaders of the governments and or already established religious institutions, missionaries, and educators especially if they have infrastructures, which might hasten the start, improve the results and make things go more smoothly. In addition, we shall employ persons who have not been able to find employment through other means. Our teaching teams will be mostly made up of University Graduates who have not been able to find work in their fields and secondary school graduates who have passed entrance exams to University but do not have the funds to go to school. There may be hired some who have not finished secondary school if they are deemed as person who can successfully spread aids awareness. There will be some hired that do not fit these profiles but who are deemed capable and able to transmit the messages effectively to populations at great risk.
We will also work the market and do what ever we can to get persons to do this work more effectively and more efficiently for less cost and try to spread the word more quickly to more persons. Time is of the essence here but so is effective communication without interference that clouds the message or prevents the receivers of the signals for well understanding the message and taking it to heart. In each case, we are dealing with a life and a future and at the present, they are all at risk. If we can find we can hire more persons for less money and get more teams out we shall go that way. If we can develop ways that use technology and better draw the interest of the indigenous populations and those especially at risk we shall do so.
If the teams share with 40 persons or more per session twice a day for 300 days out of a year that is 80,000 persons a day. Times 300 days, a year is 24,000,000 persons a year or 72,000,000 persons in three years.
The cost for doing this would be:
3,000 dollars x 2000 persons = 6,000,000 dollars in salaries for campaign workers times 3 years is 18,000,000.00 dollars They would draw 20 dollars a week as a stipend as they serve and receive the rest in a lump sum with interest calculated at a basic rate at the end of their service.
One supervisor per 20 teams = 50 supervisors:
50 x 4000 dollars = 200,000.00 times three = 600,000.00 dollars
Administrative and support staff 300,000.00 dollars
Overseeing the Preparation of literature in the various languages and cultures and literature, which is independent of language, with drawings and photographs, which effectively convey the message to the illiterate. The creation and production of the same. 400,000 Dollars
We figure 2000 dollars per team per year for teaching aids, literature and Condoms to distribute or 2,000,000 dollars times 3 years = 6,000,000 dollars * This amount might be significantly more. If it is determined and it can be done that the use of satellite technology and the Internet in conjunction with lap top or other computers and provide the kind of presentation which might make the instruction sessions something that would draw more persons because of the novel use of the Internet. If this results in more persons wanting to attend and more persons hearing and accepting the message, it will be desirous to do. If this is done then a careful testing and polling must be made to see if the hype of the presentations overshadows the message and prevents persons who attend the session s from getting the point. The important thing in this mission as the purpose or goal is: Persons hearing the message and permanently and dramatically changing their behaviors as a result.
25,300,000 dollars cost over three years.
International support and supervision overseeing the logistics and distributing the salaries. 3,000,000.00

600,000.00
300,000.00
400,000.00

3,000,000.00
28,300,000.00 United States Dollars
A total of 28,300,000.00 dollars for three years to reach persons and try to prevent the spread of aids for under 40 cents per person. 28,300,000.00 Dollars divided by at least 72,000,000
Use of high tech presentations: There might be additional costs should it be decided by the grantees to use a high tech satellite feed access to the Internet as a means of conveying the message. This will be decided after determining if such a practice would increase interest in attendance to these seminars. If it will bring the population, we most seek to reach.
Pay persons to attend and listen: In addition, it might be necessary as an incentive to get many more persons to attend these sessions if up to one US dollar given to attendees would significantly increase attendance. If this would get their attention and increase the number of persons who would listen to, believe and adhere to the message then that might be done. It would add a significant cost to the effort. However, even at the cost of a dollar a person if we can stop the tide of AIDS from sweeping the African Continent and prevent the medical emergencies and the expense of dealing with what will be brought about by such a pandemic then it would be money well spent.
Make a dramatic film to teach this cause. This might be in conjunction with the teaching campaign, in the long run, the most effective way of sharing the need for abstinence and monogamy. It might get many individuals to accept this. That might effectively help the general populations of various African communities adopt the idea.
